TEHRAN- The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman has asserted that the scenarios devised by the United States against Iran will not deter the nation from its commitment to hold accountable those responsible for crimes against the Iranian populace.

Nasser Kanaani made these comments in response to recent remarks by the U.S. Secretary of State, who referred to Iran's alleged threats against former American officials as absurd and entirely unfounded.

Kanaani emphasized that such allegations are merely a reflection of the electoral climate in the United States, aimed at achieving specific political objectives, and are not worthy of a response.

He further stated, “The U.S. government cannot evade its international obligations by making political accusations against Iran, especially in light of Washington's involvement in various crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Palestine and Lebanon.”

According to Kanaani, the international community holds the American regime and its officials accountable for these humanitarian crises, asserting that criminals will not escape trial and punishment over time.

Previously, the United States sought to hinder Iran from pursuing legal action against criminals or entities responsible for crimes against Iranian citizens on numerous occasions.

Iran blamed the United States for the crimes committed by the Israeli regime in Palestine and Lebanon: FM spox

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman has attributed responsibility for the crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the populations of Palestine and Lebanon to the United States.

Nasser Kanaani stated on his X account on Friday, “Despite the U.S.'s assertions of striving for a ceasefire, the Israeli regime has revealed that it has received an $8.7 billion aid package from the U.S. to enhance its military strength.”

“At the same time, the U.S. Secretary of Defense affirmed that Washington's commitment to support Israel's right to self-defense remains unwavering,” Kanaani continued.

he remarked that it is appalling that the U.S. describes the deaths of around 42,000 individuals in Palestine over the past 11 months and more than 1,500 in just four days in Lebanon as acts of self-defense.

“The global community is well aware that the U.S. is the main enabler of the Israeli regime’s war crimes, contributing to the genocide of Palestinians and the ongoing violence against the Lebanese people,” Kanaani concluded.
